This page describes a former graduate
traineeship program, a
TAMU Materials Science and Engineering
establishing a new interdisciplinary graduate degree track, funded by the National Science Foundation
IGERT program. Focused on
Next-generation Computational and Analytical Tools for Materials
Science, research themes include design of new materials
by nanofabrication, incorporating multiple functionalities, as well as the
development of new ways to analyze large-scale materials behavior by incorporating knowledge of atomic- and nanometer-scale properties.
The program helped to establish new graduate curricula in these areas,
which continue to draw upon the cutting-edge materials research and expertise in multiscale modeling and computational methodology at TAMU
and partner institutions. For current opportunities for graduate study in
these areas contact the MSEN or
Mathematics departments, or some of
participating departments and institutions.
